Day 7 is a doodle day and the prompt is zentangle hearts. I had no idea what zentangle was so I had to do a bit of googling. Zen and tangle almost seem like antonyms to me, but I have to admit that making this was quite meditative.

Adorable! That dog looks warm and huggable like a quilt XD Great job on it-I bet it took a long time! Come to think of it, it feels like I’ve been seeing the zendoodle technique around recently…is it a newer style??

Thank you so much! It’s a Tibetan Terrier, so yes very quilt like 🙂 It did take a while to do in the end, as I got a bit carried away. Probably people have efficient digital tools to do the patterns, but I’m old style. Yeah, I think this has come up with the colouring book crazy recently.

this is psychedelic art! i particularly love it for two reasons
1. doing it old style (hooray for your patience and focus)
2. eventhough it is psychedelic you didn’t ”got lost” (i don’t know how else to put it) by colors. you used a few and quite wisely
that should easily be made as a print. You need to start exhibiting and selling dude

Dude, thank you so much for this feedback, I’m still taking it in. I really appreciate it! I am looking into doing some prints at the moment, so hopefully I’ll post some photos of that when I figure out something that looks good. Somebody told me today that they exhibit their art at their dentist’s office and it sells really well 😀

i very much enjoyed the display of this post. don’t know why,but when i saw it in four pieces it instantly came to my mind that this should be printed and displayed just the way you present it (yes, all the process, by itself, stands as one unique piece cut in four). Dentist ha? hehe..i have a rule when i give drawings to my friends houses and that is mainly to display them in the bathroom or kitchen, but yeah, mainly in the toilet.ha!

Yeah, I really like it in four pieces, too, so I’m glad you said that. To be honest art in the toilet is the best, you get to contemplate privately in there 🙂
